Dundas Community Services provides transportation to medical appointments for seniors and people with disabilities who live in Dundas. The program helps seniors to stay in their own homes longer and remain independent.
Volunteer drivers, using their own vehicles, pick up the individual at their home, escort them to their appointment and return them to their home. The volunteer driver is usually called once a week. If the volunteer would like to drive more often, that could be arranged.
The program is very flexible and works around shifts for people who are still employed. It is perfect for recent retirees, teachers and stay at home parents who want to make a contribution to the community.
Please call Mairi at 905-627-5461 for email Mairi for more information or to apply to become a volunteer driver.
